It is often said that bodywork is a marriage of art and science. As complicated as the science can be, it is usually more difficult to describe the artistic side of this equation. The goal of this class is to experience and discuss the power of the artistic mind, and to use it as a tool to

• Enhance our ability to palpate and differentiate various types of tissue injury, distress and disorganization
   (contracted, overstretched, fibrotic, adhered, etc.),
• Engage the tissue more deeply and with greater precision, and
• Create new techniques for profound tissue change

Ellen will lead the group in a variety of hands-on exercises to improve your palpation skills, the quality of your contact and the effectiveness of your work. Leave your scientific mind in the backseat and let your artistic mind drive.
