COLOR OUTSIDE OF THE LINES WITH LAURA BARRICELLI

This course is designed to move the practitioner beyond the mechanics of massage to unearth the art and creativity beneath their work. We will “color outside of the lines” by exploring the concepts behind various bodywork modalities and applying them consciously to our practice. This approach will move us away from using non-targeted and rote techniques, broaden our palette and help us create treatments based on intention.

We will begin by sharing current approaches, talk about, demonstrate and explore other ideas from various bodywork paradigms, and then move into experientially infusing these concepts into mini-treatments.

Class size is small so that each student has enough time to practice incorporating concepts. Feel the work and note the differences as the recipient. Observe the work and notice the subtle changes that occur for both the therapist and the client. There will be plenty of time allowed for questions.
