STRUCTURAL CONCEPTS FOR ANY KIND OF BODYWORK:
THE GOLDILOCKS PHENOMENON WITH LOU BENSON

People often seek bodywork because they feel like their bodies aren’t “just right.”  The more we can see and feel where the body segments and tissues are displaced by compression, tension or shear forces, the more we increase the accuracy and effectiveness of our work.

This group meets for a series of four 3-hour sessions.  Each week we'll conduct a postural assessment and carry out a hands-on session for 1 person in the group.  During the course of the session, we’ll stop frequently to assess the impact of our work.  We'll work with options for setting up our own bodies for maximum efficiency and minimum effort.  We'll help each other learn how to feel when we've engaged the tissue at its working edge, and more sensitively gauge tissue response.   As in all of Lou’s classes, we'll talk anatomy and myofascial continuities.

No matter what kind of bodywork you practice, this class will help you figure out how to bring your clients closer to a sense of ease in their bodies that’s “just right.”

Please bring shorts and a tank style top to class.
