MYOFASCIAL BODYWORK:
CASE STUDIES IN REAL TIME WITH LOU BENSON

This class will meet for 4 3-hour sessions on Monday evenings.  We will begin each class by listening to a description of and discussing one of our musculoskeletal issues.  We will listen to one another’s stories, problem solve, palpate, create a sequence of myofascial techniques, apply them and observe the results.

With only one student on the table at a time, we can select and apply techniques that match what we’ve palpated.  This teaching method moves learning out of a hypothetical model into “real time,”  and improves the ability to accurately feel and help resolve injured/stressed myofascia faster than any other method I’ve tried in 20 years of practice and teaching.

We’ll have time for 2 students to be on the table each week.  I will demonstrate technique and guide each student as he/she practices.  The student on the table will give detailed feedback of his/her experience.  The two students who are not on the table will take turns with the hands-on work, observation and making notes.  Each student gets to do the work, feel the work, observe the work and provide and receive well-informed feedback.
